Vital Posh ed. mwl1967 gives us the inside track on the Posh ahead of our F.A Cup meeting this afternoon

We’ve got the inside track on the goings-on at London Road with Vital Posh ed. mwl1967…

The F.A Cup – a help or hindrance for Peterborough?

Posh have a history of being giant killers down the years and the FA Cup is always looked at favourably. It also takes the weekly pressure of League life away from the players especially when playing a bigger team as they can just go out and enjoy themselves.

How strong a team is Darren Ferguson likely to name for this one?

Fergie Jnr is not like his dad when it comes to Cup games! He always puts out his strongest side possible.

Posh are down to the bare bones though with quite a few players out injured. This has resulted in youth team players making up numbers on the substitutes bench over the past few games, so Fergie probably won`t have much of a choice as to which players make the squad. His toughest decision will probably be which youth team player he should pick!

What chance a cup upset as far as Posh fans are concerned?

The Cup always offers the chance of an upset somewhere along the line so why not in this game? The Posh defence has been tightened up considerably over the last month and are no longer conceding vast amounts of goals so if we can keep things tight, anything could happen as we`re always capable of scoring goals.

Who is the key player for you that we should be looking out for?

Of the players who should definitely be fit, George Boyd is a key player for us in midfield while forward Paul Taylor is a livewire and can score from anywhere.

One Sunderland player you’d take off us?

One player you can definitely keep is James McLean who turned us down for yourselves (knowing our luck, he`ll come on as a sub and score against us though!).

Tough question this one as you`ve got a decent squad of players but there`s no stand-out player in your squad! If I had to pick one though, I`d go for midfielder Sebastian Larsson.

Match prediction?

If Posh can keep things tight, I think we could take this match to a replay by drawing 1-1.
