Wednesday fan Nicholas Rigg answers our 5 questions this week…

Nicholas Rigg, Sheff Wed

-What players should we look out for from your side? What are your strengths?

Strengths? Wednesday? Are you having a laugh? On a serious note, I’d like to say our defence was our strength. It just about kept us up last year and this season we’ve strengthened with the magnificent Madjid Bougheera alongside Cocko in the defence, but unfortunately our on-loan keeper Brad Jones has proved to be slightly dodgy. Another potential strength would be the left-foot of Chris Brunt. He must have one of the best, if not THE best in the Championship but unfortunately he gets on peoples nerves with his lazy attitude. I wouldn’t give him too much space on the edge of your box though!

-What Sunderland players will you be watching out for? Our strengths?

I’ve not seen too much of Sunderland to judge. The only game Ive seen this season was the Coventry match and you didn’t look too cracking! But you’ve signed loads of new players so it’s a tough one to call. I suppose I’ll be looking out for your strikeforce, I really rate Connolly and Yorke, and Murphy was decent on-loan with us. We’re crying our for a striker, and you seem to have bucket loads!

-Where do you expect to finish this season?

A lot of fans, and indeed Paul Sturrock, expected to finish mid-table and I’d say a lot still do. We don’t want another season ‘just surviving’ in this league again, we won’t to move forward and progress towards the promised land. It’ll take time, but a decent mid-table finish will do us. We just need to get on a bit of a run to boost the teams confidence!

-Where do you think we will finish this season?

I never thought you were in danger of going down again when you were in trouble, but I’m not sure if you’re cut out for promotion just yet. Certainly got a big name in Roy Keane which has obviously lifted the whole place, and Niall Quinn and company seem to have the cash to suppo
