Sunderland U21s striker Mikael Mandron has gone to Hartlepool for a short term loan.

Still only 21, the forward has made three appearances for the Black Cat’s first team, but drops down to League 2 Hartlepool to help them out of a jam and to get more first team experience.

His loan spell will come to an end on January 2nd.

Hartlepool manager Ronnie Moore thinks that Mandron is a perfect addition to his side and is very happy to have him at Victoria Park.

Moore told the Sunderland Chronicle: “He`s a powerful lad and he gives us another option up there.

“We`re pleased that Sunderland have allowed him to come here and hopefully the move can be beneficial to the player and both clubs.”

Mandron has previously had loan spells at Shrewsbury Town and Fleetwood Town.
