Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be planning a summer swoop on Sunderland to try and grab Adam Johnson from the club, if reports are to be believed.
Johnson is playing some of the best football of his career at the moment since Gus Poyet took over as manager which has lead to calls for him to be reinstated to the England squad in time to go out to Brazil for the World Cup finals.
Rodgers has noticed the form he is in and speculation has it that Liverpool would be willing to let Fabio Borini come the other way as part of a swap deal.
Although Borini has always maintained his desire to return to Anfield.
New Poll Online Now: Is it time to ditch the stupid hatred between SAFC and NUFC?
Have your say now.
Borini has publicly stated more than once he doesn’t want a permanent move so if he does come it will be just for the money.
I’d like to see Borini come here and Liverpool take Altidore and Larsson
Keep Johnson and buy Borini, that seems to be the best bet for Sunderland
