Irish takeover; what do you think?

Image for Irish takeover; what do you think?

With rumours of an Irish consortium taking over Sunderland refusing to die down, this weeks’ poll asks, what do you really think about it all?

Niall Quinn installed as manager with Magnier and McManus in the background investing badly needed finances into the club is the main crux of the rumour that has been doing the rounds all season and just won?t go away, with variations involving Alex McLiesh and even Martin O?Neil also existing.

With several news organisations reporting the rumour of Irish interest in the club giving what was once deemed a fantastical rumour credence, Quinn?s odds to become next Sunderland manager have today been dramatically slashed at the bookies for the second time in two weeks.

Are they simply wishful thinking by Sunderland fans who are desperate for fresh impetus at the club, a club that is once again heading down to the Championship in miserable fashion?

Or do you really think we are on the cusp of a new era, dominated by wealthy Irishmen? Have your vote this week, and discuss your thoughts on the forum here
