There were no problems in the agreement of sacked Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant Taff Evans’ respective pay offs.

McCarthy was sacked on the 6th of March after the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City, following a run of dismal results. His assistant Ian Evans left the club a week later.

Peter Walker revealed today that the agreement was amicable and all ties were settled, in a statement released through the clubs’ official website,

‘The club can confirm that settlement terms have been agreed and finalised with both Mick McCarthy and Ian Evans following their recent departure from the club.’

We wish Mick McCarthy and Taff Evans all the best in the future.
