One player that Sunderland won’t have to face on Tuesday is Hull City winger Robbie Brady.

Sadly for the Tigers, Brady’s season looks to be over after manager Steve Bruce admitted after the game with Stoke City at the weekend that he had fallen down a hole while training.

The calf injury he sustained looks to be a nasty one for the Republic of Ireland international, Bruce explained to Sky Sports:

‘Unfortunately Brady has fallen down a hole in the training ground and it looks an awful injury, I have to say. We won’t know the extent of it until he has had scans.

‘After seeing him on Friday I doubt he will be available for weeks. It could be the rest of the season.’

Too be honest its a shame, not good when any player gets injured while not involved in a game. Best wishes to him
