With club captain Steven Caldwell still injured, and Dean Whitehead having relinquished the role, this week’s poll asked who you would like to take over as permanent captain.
In Caldwell, Cunningham’s and Kavanagh’s absence, Roy Keane has asked Dwight Yorke to captain the side, but with all three experienced players set to return, Keane has several options when it comes to handing out the armband.

Clearly fans see Kavanagh, with years of Championship experience, as the ideal candidate to boss the side from the centre of midfield. Current incumbent Dwight Yorke is the second favourite with 23%.
However Steve Caldwell is most likely to retain the captaincy should he make a return to the side, and will be disappointed to have only picked up 5% of the votes.
