Former Sunderland defender Carlos Cuellar could soon find himself playing for Blackburn Rovers, according to Sky Sports.
Cuellar has been training with the Rover’s squad this week and should feature in tomorrow’s friendly with Bury.
Now 32, Cuellar finds himself with a chance to extend his career if he can impress Rover’s manager Gary Bowyer who is keen to bolster his back line ahead of the new season.
Another thing that Cuellar has going for him is his versatility, he can play both as centre-back and right-back, something that is bound to appeal to Bowyer.
