Fabio Borini has admitted that he gets angry every time that Sunderland fail to pick up any points during a game.

The striker was speaking to the Sunderland Echo after the Black Cats lost the weekend’s game at Bournemouth 2-0 and are now rooted to the bottom of the table, still looking for their first win of the season.

Six games into the new season and Sunderland are still looking for their first win of the season and every week without a win means that the club are slipping further and further behind.

But Borini is convinced that as soon as the side get their first victory of the season, then they will be on their way.

Borini told the Sunderland Echo: ‘We always have the winning mentality, I’m angry when we lose games, and angry when we draw games.

‘I always want to win, but it’s always hard to get the first win and, after that, it’s easier.’

Sunderland take a break from League football on Tuesday night and take on Manchester City in the Capital One Cup.
