Sunderland made it in to the 5th round of the FA Youth Cup tonight after beating Bolton 2-1, thanks to goals from Jordan Henderson and Jack Colback.

Colback opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with a cooly taken penalty, after Bolton’s Matthew Cassidy had brought down David Dowson. Cassidy was sent off for the foul after he was deemed to be the last man back for the visitors.

Henderson extended Sunderland’s lead in first half stoppage time with a cracking 20-yard volley.

Sunderland had several chances to extend their lead against a resolute and physical 10-man Bolton, who grabbed a late consolation in the 90th minute with a Robert Sissons header.
