Sunderland new boy Deandre Yedlin is looking to get up to his top form as soon as possible in a bid to help lift Sunderland off their place at the bottom of the league table.

The Northern Echo reports that Yedlin joins the rest of the Sunderland squad for training on Thursday for the first time since joining the club on deadline day on a season long loan from Tottenham.

Yedlin has just returned from being on international duty with the USA, he will train with the rest of the squad but cannot take part in the game against Tottenham on Saturday due to the terms of his loan agreement.

But when his time comes he is determined to make the most of his chance and make his move to the Stadium of Light a successful one.

Yedlin said to the clubs official website: “It`s the opportunity to play that`s the main thing. My job is to play, and in the last seven months, I haven`t had a whole lot of playing time. It`s important for me to step back onto the field and get back into my groove.”
