Wickham Offer Comes In From West Ham United.

West Ham United have tabled a bid for Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.

The 21 year old proved himself to be invaluable to Sunderland towards the end of last season when he was recalled from his loan spell at Leeds and helped the Black Cats avoid what looked like certain relegation.

Before this Wickham spent time with Sheffield Wednesday where he scored goals for fun.

West Ham are looking for another striker as their main targetman, Andy Carroll has gone to take up his usual position, in the treatment room. This time he has an ankle injury.

Wickham cost Sunderland £8 million when he arrived from Ipswich Town in 2011.
