Wickham picked up the injury as the team warmed up before the game and as a result played no part in the evening’s action. Steven Fletcher stepped in to fill the vacant roll up front.
The striker will be given a good coat of looking at today but it does seem that he won’t be fit in time to take his place in the side that travels to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
But its better news for Jack Rodwell who suffered an injury during training, he looks like he will be back for the Swansea clash.
