Sunderland feature in the Top Ten players list for the 2015/16 season, based on which player contributed the most points with their goals across the campaign.
Sunderland feature courtesy of Jermaine Defoe who, according to Talksport, came in at fourth place in the table with 15 goals returning 14 points across the season.
Clearly the table shows that one nil victories, whilst maybe not as exciting as higher scoring games, were key last season as shown by Leicester City’s success and equally not seeing Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur given the season they had – and he being the Golden Boot winner for the year – is a bit of a surprise, as is Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero sitting middle of the pile despite being joint second highest scorer in the Premier League last term.
