The remaining Premier League sides, those involved in European football, enter into the competition at this stage, including Tottenham, who are the only one of the aforementioned ones to play on Tuesday – Spurs host Barnsley at Wembley.
All-Premier League ties will see Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Leicester play host to Brighton – which had been the Premier League game just last Friday – Huddersfield and Liverpool, respectively.
Other Premier League sides bidding to avoid upsets against Championship clubs are Stoke, Burnley, West Ham and Swansea, when they face the challenges of Bristol City, Leeds, Bolton and Reading – second tier teams going head-to-head are Aston Villa and Middlesbrough along with Brentford against Norwich.
Wednesday, will see all but Manchester City, from Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United having home advantage in the remaining ties – facing West Brom, League One side Doncaster, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Burton, respectively.
This could potentially be the night for upsets? Well, if we can call it that considering the starting XI’s that could be selected.
