Sunderland Snub!

Le Havre might have accepted an offer from Sunderland for Benjamin Mendy, however the teenager has his heart set on a switch to Marseille.

Cardiff and Lyon are also in for the 19-year-old but as yet it’s only the Black Cats that have agreed a fee for the defender. However, such is his determination to join the French giants he’s apparently already visited their training ground.

Unless Marseille match Sunderland’s offer he’ll not be joining them though, Sunderland will almost certainly move on though as why pursue a player who has his eyes set on another prize!

One player that will arrive is Jozy Altidore, he’s undergoing a medical with the club today ahead of his signing being confirmed.
