The Mirror is reporting that Lee Cattermole will be axed from Paolo Di Canio’s pre-season training camp with the Italian not viewing the former Sunderland skipper in his long-term plans.
It’s believed that Cattermole might have different ideas though, and rather than leaving on a permanent basis he’d prefer to leave the club merely in a loan capacity.
Fulham and Hull, managed by former Black Cats boss Steve Bruce, are both being linked with the England international for around £2m.
Phil Bardsley will also be absent from this training camp following his high profile indiscretion last season!
