A majority of 50% of Black Cats fans feel confident that England are capable of winning the World Cup, despite a less than convincing opening match against Paraguay. However with Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard and co set to come up against Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow, a win would see them into the second round with one match to play.
Brazil came in second with 31% of the votes, and while they too were less than impressive in their narrow win over Croatia last night, it seems fans still feel that Ronaldinho, Kaka and Adriano could well be lifting the World Cup come July.
Argentina came in third in the poll with 10%, and the ruthlessness and clinical finishing shown against a strong Ivory Coast side in their opening encounter suggests that they may have what it takes to go all the way.
France and Italy both got 3% of the votes, as did ‘Other’, with fans maybe having the likes of Holland, Czech Republic, Portugal and Germany in mind when choosing that option.
