Sunderland have been rocked, or should that be “could” be rocked, by the news that Stephane Sessegnon wants to leave the club?

The Sunday People reported that the unsettled Benin international has expressed a desire to move on due to the fact that his wife and children spend as much time in France as they do England, so he wants to be with them more often.

Marseille have held a long-term interest in the 29-year-old, the signing of a new four-year contract a year ago hasn’t been enough to settle him down, so if the French side stump up £8m they’ll get there man it seems this summer.
