The Sun on Sunday brought surprising Sunderland links to a veteran striker!

Kevin Davies’ Bolton career, after a decade with the club, is coming to an end but despite being 36-years-old there isn’t a shortage of potential suitors for the striker, according to those reports.

Sunderland and Hull could offer him Premier League football, however Blackpool and Wolves have also been linked but it’s believed his “most likely destination” is going to be Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday, managed by his former Southampton boss Dave Jones.

The former England international has been a quality player over the years but I’m not sure that a move to the Stadium of Light is going to happen.
