After there had been rumours floating around for the last few days, one newspaper reported today that Sunderland were indeed going after Blackburn’s Jordan Rhodes.

The Sun is of the opinion that the club are putting together a bid for the striker which would involve cash and a player moving out of the Stadium of Light.
That player is said by the Sun to be either Danny Graham or Will Buckley and with £8m supposedly going their way on top of that, you’d think that Rovers would be tempted to let their man go.
If they was to get Rhodes on any sort of deal, the Black Cats would have to fight off competition from Middlesbrough who have, according to the report, already had a bid of £14m turned down.
Could be something, may be nothing, but its something to keep our eyes on this coming week.
