No Points Deduction For Black Cats

Sunderland will not be punished in any other way after receiving a fine when an administrative led to Ji Dong-won playing without full international clearance earlier in the season.

It has come to light that the player was used in four games without clearance and were fined for the incident, the games were against Fulham, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Manchester United, there was also a cup game against MK Dons.

Since the news was broken there have been various sources in both the media and social media that have called for the Black Cats to be deducted points.

But Sunderland, who themselves brought the matter to the attention of the Premier League, took the fine imposed and the matter is now closed.
