While the 27 year old says there is no medical about to take place despite the rumours, he has admitted that he and his agent are in talks with the powers that be at the club.
The Dutchman is reported on the Chronicle live website as saying: “I`m not having a medical examination, but I am in talks with Sunderland.
“I have never made a secret of the fact that I like the Premier League. Despite Dynamo playing in the Champions League, now it seems like a great opportunity to make the switch.”
Lens has also admitted that the fact that Dick Advocaat is now in charge at Sunderland has a lot to do with him being interested in what the club has to say.
He doesnt look to me like someone who is overly keen on joining, but if he has worked with Advocaat before and enjoyed it then he might be persuaded.
