“It’s a game we shouldn’t have lost, but we did, so we can only blame ourselves.’ – Seb Larsson. |
Before the game with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, the Black Cats were on a four game undefeated run and looking like things had changed for the better.
Added to the fact that QPR had lost all their eleven games on the road this season and it was hoped that Sunderland would be picking up the points.
But once the first goal went in, the Black Cats always looked like they would come out of the contest second best and that’s just what happened.
The Sweden international told btsport: ‘You can never take anything for granted in this game and we’ve experienced that many times before.
‘I think the most frustrating thing is we felt like we were on the up, we felt like we were moving in the right direction.
‘It’s a game we shouldn’t have lost, but we did, so we can only blame ourselves. It was down to us players on the pitch and we didn’t do enough.’
