Little known Potteries outfit Port Vale have taken Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott on loan until the end of the current season.
The 21 year old joins Micky Adams’ side but will not be able to take part in their FA Cup fourth round tie against Brighton as he is cup tied.
But not with the Black Cats, Knott played for Wycombe Wanderers in the competition while on his loan spell that started in August.
He went on to make 23 appearances for the Chairboys and scored two goals.
He has only made one substitute appearance for Sunderland’s first team.
