Billy Jones says that the team have got to sort out their home form asap if they are going to stand a chance of getting up the table.

One of Sunderland’s better players on Saturday, Billy Jones says that the team have got to sort out their home form asap if they are going to stand a chance of getting up the table.

‘Good runs are about momentum, so we hope to start a good one next week.’ – Billy Jones

Fellow struggler’s Burnley, Queens Park Rangers, West Brom and Aston Villa are the next four league games at the Stadium of Light and the Black Cats have to look seriously to getting their home form right and picking up as near a full quota of twelve points as they can get.

And that’s quite an upturn from the one win they have had at home in the league so far.

But Jones feels that they can get right on track with a victory over Burnley when they meet on Saturday.

Speaking to the Sunderland Echo, Jones said: “It helps in the Premier League to have really good home form and that`s what we`re trying to achieve for the second half of the season.

“Good runs are about momentum, so we hope to start a good one next week with a positive result against Burnley.

“Then the games come thick and fast, and a lot of big home games.

“We know it`s in our hands to have a better second half of the season with the home games we`ve got.”

In that four game home time span, Sunderland will also have away games at Swansea, Manchester United Hull City and West Ham.
