After playing and scoring the winner for United at Villa Park on Friday night Januzaj told Sky Sports that the stories of him going to Wearside are just Rumours.
This follows a quote from Louis van Gaal on Sky that his player was not for sale and he backed that up by including him in the side that lined up against Villa, a big step up from not even being included on the bench against Tottenham in the season opener for the Red Devils.
The 20 year old Belgian said to Sky Sports after the game: ‘I am happy here and I am going to fight for my place.’
Talk of spending a season at the Stadium of Light was, he added, ‘just rumours.’
