Sunderland have completed the signing of Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell.
The 23 year old comes to the Stadium of Light on a five year contract and although the fee is undisclosed, it is believed to be in excess of £10 million.
Rodwell struggled to get regular games in a star studed Manchester City side after joining them from Everton in 2012 for a little over £13 million. The brilliant midfielder made just 21 appearances in two seasons at the Etihad Stadium.
Now the England international will be looking for regular first team football with the Black Cats under the leadership of Gus Poyet.

Rodwell didn’t struggle to get into city’s midfield,he was an almost ever injured player,I hope he does well and can stay fit with your lads as I do rate him highly though.
Great signing, just what we need, Now do something about a scorer
just the thing to lift the spirits, brilliant player and look forward to seeing him in a Sunderland shirt.
Now where are all those haters who Slag of the Sunderland board?
I wish they would stop letting clubs keep the fee private. Great signing though, well pleased
Very welcome addition to the squad and looking forward to seeing him in action, wonder why he didn;t go back to Everton though as they were interested.
No complaints from me, super signing
