Burnley manager Sean Dyche has sent a warning to Sunderland that they won’t be visiting Turf Moor on Saturday and finding it easy.
The confident Burnley boss feels that Sunderland will be under the most pressure as teams will be coming to Burnley and expecting a win, but he assures that will not be the case.
Sunderland have drawn games against West Brom, Manchester United and Tottenham and Dyche is of the opinion that although the Black Cats have done well to come from behind to draw all three of those games against tough opposition, they will feel the pressure on Saturday.
Dyche told the Lancashire Post: “I think it`s slightly different for Gus and his men because, as I suggested about this underdog idea, lots of supporters will expect their team to beat us.
“That probably does add a bit of weight on it from there point of view, but I do also think that kind of weirdly can do us down a bit.
“Our record speaks for itself at Turf Moor; we`re pretty handy, so there is a balance there.
“I certainly don`t think we`re a team where you can just walk into Turf Moor and think it`s all going to turn out happily for you.
“You have to earn the right, certainly at Turf, so I don’t think Gus is naive to think that but some fans might be thinking we’ve got to beat Burnley, it’s as simple as that, but it`s not that easy I don`t think.”
