Sunderland’s Jack Colback is not expecting to move away from the Stadium of Light in January, despite being linked with several clubs.

Colback’s current contract comes to an end in the summer and it has been expected that he would be moving in January so that Sunderland would get some cash out of a deal.

But any talks that were supposed to be going on between Sunderland, Swansea and West Brom have come to an end, if indeed anything happened in the first place.

But Colback is happy where he is at the moment and does not want to get drawn into any speculation about a move.

‘I expect to be here at the end of January,’ He told The Journal.

‘The transfer window has nothing to do with us as players. It’s the people above who sort that out and we just have to get on with it.’

Certainly wouldn’t miss him if he did go. He seems to play a blinder once in a blue moon and gets your hopes up that he could become a good player and then quickly returns to mediocrity.
