Dick Advocaat has changed his mind about turning his back on football and agreed to sign a new 12 month contract with Sunderland, according to the Sun.
The u-turn comes out of the blue after the 67 year old decided that it was time to call it a day last week.
Advocaat has been with the club since March when he was given the job of saving the Black Cats from the drop into the Championship, he did that with a game to spare and also put one over Newcastle United while doing it which made him a hit with the fans.
Sunderland made no secret of their desire to see Advocaat stay in control at the Stadium of Light, but he turned down the chance due to family reasons.
