Lee Cattermole insists that there were positives to take from the draw at Stoke and they must turn in that sort of display against Southampton this weekend.
The 1-1 draw at Stoke shows that there is still a spark of life in the squad and if they could reproduce their second half display against the Potters, they just might be able to get out of trouble.
But that will have to start with a win against the Saints.
The draw with Stoke would have been classed as a good point on any other day, but happenings at Leicester and Hull went against them and thrust them into the bottom three.
Cattermole told the Chronicle: “It would have been a much better point had other results not gone the way they did, but I think the people who watched the game would tell you it was a big point because of how good our second-half performance was.
“We can take a lot of confidence from the way we performed and we can build on it, so that`s exactly what we will aim to do against Southampton on Saturday.”
Lot of players doing a lot of talking as we roll into the Southampton game
