Another one of Paolo Di Canio’s signings, Cabral, has been released by Sunderland.

The player made just two appearances for Sunderland, one in the Premier League and one in the League Cup since joining the club 18 months ago.

The 26-year-old midfielder did go out on loan to Genoa, but made little impact there, making only seven appearances.
