Brown Has Identified The Problem

Sunderland defender Wes Brown says that the club will not give up fighting to stay up until either they succeed or it becomes mathematically impossible to stay up.

The Black Cats need at least a couple of wins to get out of trouble, they are currently 19th in the league, four points behind West Brom in 17th, but have a far worse goal difference.

They do however, have a game in hand over the Midlands club, but without a win in six and losing the last three on the bounce, hopes are not exactly high around Wearside that safety can be reached.

But Brown can put his finger on what the problem is at the Stadium of Light.

He told reporters: ‘We just can’t put our chances in the back of the net at the moment.

‘We’re playing good football but it doesn’t count if you’re not getting the points. But you can’t give up, all we can do is stick at it. We’ve just got to keep going and keeping battling on. If anything, we have to give even more.’

Sunderland’s next four games are Tottenham away, Everton at home, Man City away and Chelsea away.

Wish he’d have said something weeks ago, we could have got out of this mess. Fancy everyone missing that one.
