The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Sheffield United’s win at Leeds on Friday evening saw Chris Wilder’s side move to the top of the Championship, which was kept when Cardiff had to settle for a point against Millwall and Wolves suffered a surprise loss at QPR.

A run of defeats was ended when Ipswich won at Burton.

Bottom side Bolton clawed back the gap on those above them with a point at Fulham, drawn Sunderland, as their struggles continue, closer when they were beaten by Bristol City at the Stadium on Light, which keeps the Black Cats second bottom.

Derby’s own winning run continued when they won at Norwich with Brentford extending their unbeaten run in a five goal thriller at Preston.

A five goal thriller at the KCOM Stadium rounded off the action on Saturday as Nottingham Forest went away with the points after a 3-2 defeat as the Tigers’ tough season continued.
