It’s being reported that Manchester United are taking a long look at Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone with a view of taking him to Old Trafford.

The Italian has only been with the Black Cats for six months, he was brought in by Paolo Di Canio as cover for Keiren Westwood, but after an injury to Westwood, Mannone has taken the number one spot.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper has been in good form since stepping up and the Italian media have reported that David Moyes is very interested.

United are said to be looking for an understudy for David De Gea, with Anders Lindegaard looking to leave Old Trafford to seek first-team football elsewhere.

moyes is one of the most world stupid coach instead of going to look for attackers and defenders he is wasting time asking for the goal keeper and at last will foolishly say they have tried but players dont want to come. yes because you are asking and not putting money do you think players will come to a coach like you?

  • Foxtrot Uniform says:

Why would he want to go back to being an understudy again after years wasted at Arsenal? Why would we want to sell our ONLY fit goalkeeper with any experience?

  • Kevin Ballsack says:

Unsettling tactics I reckon, why would Man U want our keeper………. pick of who they want world wide and they want ours (supposedly) just before a cup semi final
