Sunderland have completed the capture of Stoke Defender Danny Higginbotham. The centre half who can also play at left back has cost the Blackcats 3 million pounds.

Roy Keane has told Sunderland`s official site “I know him personally and he`s a great character. He can play at centre half or left back so his versatility will be a big plus for us.”

Another centre half I can only speculate that Keane must be unhappy with some of his recent signings and our current crop on defenders. Personally I think the McShane and Nosworthy partnership is going to take some beating.
