Westwood – Solid, beaten by two good strikes. – 7
Celustka – As the game went on he got more and more laboured at watching Nani – 6
O’Shea – Confident enough – 6
Colback – Below par, lacking on a number of occasions – 5
Roberge – Did well against class opposition, quick to cover for Colback – 7
Gardner – Took goal with confidence, added to attack. Off after 55 mins – 7
Cattermole – Busy display, gave Cleverley no time on the ball, good tackles – 7
Ki – Was doing alright early on, seemed confident enough then disappeared in second half. Subbed – 4
Altidore – Worked Jones but never looked like scoring – 4
Giaccherini – Untiring and technically very good, would have score had it not been for a great save – 8
Johnson – Committed to go forward confidently, with more control could have scored – 7
Larsson – Came on as sub, little impact – 4
Wickham – Came on 75 mins. Too late to make a mark – 5
Ji – Came on as sub – Nothing earth shattering – 5
