Sunderland Go To Liverpool Two Players Light

Sunderland go into the game with Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday without the services of Marcos Alonso and Fabrio Borini.

The Black Cats will find the trip to Liverpool hard enough but without two key players, the job becomes even harder.

Alonso was shown a second yellow card at Norwich at the weekend right at the end of the 2-0 defeat to Norwich, the incident came in stoppage time for deliberate handball.

While Alonso will be missing, up will step former Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena who will no doubt have something to prove to his old employees.

The other player missing of course is striker Borini, under the terms of his loan agreement he is not allowed to play against his parent club.
