A BBC Stoke reporter has commented that a fee has been agreed for Fuller and will be used as a short-term replacement for Bent being sold and Welbeck being injured.

It is a brave move by Bruce who is spending money on a 31-year-old who has had problems with a shoulder injury this season.

The money will not be the reported £3m due to Stoke still owing Sunderland money for Kenwyne Jones sale.

Some reports from Wearside is that the medical will take place on Friday as Bruce looks to strengthen his depleted striker options.

Ipswich fan here – we had Fuller on loan a few years back and he was always the one that got away for us! Should certainly be a decent move for you after our old boy Bent did a bit of a Judas job on Brucey – I was disappointed to see that. (By the way – random comment I know, but Southampton, Stoke and now Sunderland… does Ricardo Fuller just like playing in red and white stripes?!)

Ric Fuller is a Stoke legend but only Pulis can make him play to the best of his ability. Leave well alone Mr Bruce you wont have a chnace

  • tucky says:

Wow you Villa fans are class I shall keep a close eye on your results more always nice to see overconfidence.

  • ClivetheVillan says:

I aint got problem with sundeland fans tucky i always seen you as passionate and down to earth but you always get a few at every club, but to send death threats to bent is low. and to hear ur manager talk about LOYALTY when he hasnt shown any in his managerial carrer so far is a bit rich and annoyin!

  • ClivetheVillan says:

good luck to u decent sunderland fans though this will blow over as usual we had similar with barry and milner its annoyin but football today proves there is no loyalty only the fans are loyal!

  • eltoro says:

hope all goes well with Fuller, but will someone tell fat head that Sunderland didn’t need to accept the 24mill, it’s just to much money to turn down!
