Premier League officials have given the clubs another way of generating cash by allowing top flight clubs to have sleeve sponsors.

According to the Daily Mirror, a deal was struck between the 20 Premier League clubs and the PL two weeks ago and this has the potential to earn individual clubs up to £10million per season.

Well, that would be the figure generated by the likes of Manchester United, working out to be roughly 20 percent of the cash generated by shirt sponsors Chevrolet who pay the club something like £47million.

Further down the chain, clubs would be putting together a package deal for future investors.

The Premier League logo would still appear on the left sleeve while the right would be used by the sponsors.

But it’s something that won’t affect Sunderland should they not manage to beat the drop into the Championship.
