Nicklas Bendtner was arrested in Gateshead in September in the Gateshead Hilton Hotel, it has emerged today.

The on-loan Arsenal forward was also arrested in mid-December following a car-wreaking spree in Newcastle with skipper Lee Cattermole.

News of Bendtner’s previous antics had gone un-reported until today, but The Daily Mail reveal that the Danish striker was arrested at 2.18am for ‘breaching the peace’.

Bendtner, 23, was accompanied by another unnamed 23 year-old and both were later released without charge.

This of course aren’t isolated incidents, whilst back in his homeland, Bendtner caused a disturbance in a pizza joint when his card was declined. His retort of ‘do you know who I am?’ was not met well by the shop owner and the forward saw his bill footed by two bemused locals.

On the pitch the headlines haven’t been as forthcoming with just three goals since his August move to Wearside.
