Sunderland manager Gus Poyet was left feeling angry with his side after they bowed out of the FA Cup at the hands of Hull City with not much more than a whimper.
Poyet was left demanding higher standards from his players now their sole aim for the rest of the season is Premier League survival.
The Black Cats were out of sorts at the KC Stadium with far to many of the players not giving anywhere near the 100% a club would be looking for one step away from Wembley.
The defeat was the third one against Hull this season, although this one was more of a slump and at the end of the game Poyet said that some players would not be able to count on getting a first team place in the next game.
“We are out,” he told reporters.
“We are out, and from now on, it`s all about points. That`s all.
“It doesn`t matter the shape of the team, or the team we play from now on.
“Anyone who plays for us now has to rise to the challenge of being a Sunderland first team player and do all they can to keep the team up.”
