Referee: Mike Jones
Linesmen: Richard West and Mark Scholes
Fourth Official: Graham Scott

Chester based referee Jones has officiated two Sunderland games this season. Back in September, he took charge of the 3-0 defeat at Manchester United. Billy Jones, Adam Johnson, and Lee Cattermole were the players booked.

Then in November Jones was in charge of the 1-0 home defeat to Southampton, four players were booked in this game, Johnson again for Sunderland and Saints players Ryan Bertrand, Sadio Mane, and Graziano Pelle.

Jones has already taken in 38 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 121 yellow cards and two red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth on February 2 with a total of seven yellow cards shown. Seven were also shown between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth on February 2. Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday on August 22 saw six yellows, as did Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace and Manchester United in October and Charlton v Bristol City in February.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and no more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
