No Sunderland Move…Yet Anyway!

Gino Peruzzi’s move to Sunderland isn’t going to be going through following a long and drawn out transfer chase this summer.

Paolo Di Canio has revealed that it’s just too much of a risk to sign the 21-year-old amidst concerns over his fitness with the Black Cats not in a financial position to take any risks with signings.

As good as the Argentina international is, and could yet become, Sunderland have made exactly the right call at this juncture.

Interesting though Di Canio has said “at the moment, there is no chance for Gino Peruzzi to join us”, so it’s not a deal that completely out of the question sometime down the line having seen a deal agreed.
