Tomorrow’s game against Southampton at St Marys will now be officiated by Neil Swarbrick instead of original referee Kevin Friend.
Friend collapsed while carrying out fourth official duties at Bournemouth in midweek after hitting his head on the dug-out, he was taken to hospital and kept in overnight for observation.
Even though Friend was discharged from hospital on the Wednesday, protocols mean that because he suffered concussion, he must take the weekend off although he could be back in action next weekend if doctors give the go-ahead.

Bit over the top really, any one of us would have been back at work the next day
Overkill
Not really overkill. Concussion is something that you need time to recover from, even days after a smack on the head, things can come back to cause you big problems
