Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has put an end to speculation about Stephane Sessegnon.

The Black Cats boss is insisting that there is n way that the player will be sold, no matter what offers come in.

The Benin international has been linked with a move to Qatari side El Jaish, but he played in Sunderland’s opening game of the season on Saturday at the Stadium of Light and Di Canio says that he is still very much part of his plans for the new season.

Di Canio told the Sun: ‘I have to be clear, I do not want to sell Sessegnon.

‘If anyone wants him, they would have to bring me a quality striker and a central midfield player.

‘Otherwise, for me, he is not for sale.’
