Sunderland have confirmed that they have landed defender Jason Denayer from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old Belgian international becomes the eighth player that David Moyes has signed since taking over at the club.
The move will give the player a chance to play regular first team football in the Premiership, something he would struggle to get with how the situation is at the Etihad Stadium.
Denayer has Champions League experience to bring to Wearside and he picked up Celtic’s young player of the year award and has eight international caps.
