Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell undergoes knee surgery that will see him miss all of next season. Campbell, 23, suffered the injury against Man City way back im August 2010.
The forward was scheduled to make a comeback in the corresponding fixture between the two teams, but twisted his knee in his recovery programme.
Sunderland’s injury list continues to mount up, and with the club in freefall, Steve Bruce will be praying for a result against Wigan this weekend.
